NAMI is dedicated to providing support, education & advocacy to those impacted by mental illness.

With the school year and election season well underway, we wanted to share a new resource developed by NAMI, Inseparable, and MHLC that introduces new ideas around legislation for Mental Health Education for our children.

Mental Health Education Policy: Model Legislation and Roadmap for State Leaders provides language, information, and model legislation for those in authority at the state level to advocate and implement Mental Health Literacy throughout the students, staff, and families of our schools.

This roadmap emphasizes early intervention and stigma reduction for mental health, which we all know is key to our overall wellness. Taking a proactive stance on the mental health of our youth supports a stronger society as a whole, and we encourage you to have conversations with school and government leaders to prioritize these issues on the state level.

Come join us at the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention Miami Valley walk today at Riverscape! Registration is open now and the walk kicks off at 2pm. It’s going to be a great way to spend this cloudy day!

This week is Mental Illness Awareness Week, and we are sharing how NAMI supports mental health through science!

Today also happens to be Depression Screening Day- if you've been struggling, there's no better time than now to reach out and get support.

Every day is another opportunity to improve your mental health or support friends, family, and neighbors in their mental health journey.

Unfortunately, due to the severe and prolonged weather forecast for today, we are canceling this year's NAMIWalks event.
