Dear DeForest Area School District Families,

I hope you are having a wonderful, relaxing summer. As we prepare for another incredible school year, I want to share some important district updates, upcoming events, and an opportunity to get involved.

Annual Student Registration Opening Soon
Online registration is available through Infinite Campus starting next Wednesday, July 22. Watch for a link next week.

This process is required for every student, every school year.

Please register your students as soon as possible. You can complete registration without paying fees at the same time.

Class placements and class schedules will be available beginning August 12 for those students who have already registered for the 2026-27 school year.

More information is available on the DASD website under Enrollment & Annual Registration.

Note on Student Privacy: Requests to not have student photos published in internal and external publications, including the school yearbook, must be made by emailing School & Community Relations at [email protected].

Getting Ready for the School Year: Key Dates
Families, please mark your calendars for Great Start Conferences on August 25 and 27. These dates also include High School Individual Advisory Meetings and Picture Days for grades 4K-8. School starts on September 1.

Additional Communications to Watch For:
Sign up directions for Great Start Conferences and High School Individual Advisory Meetings will be shared on August 13.

4K Families (Late July): Information from 4K sites regarding "Sneak a Peek" classroom visits.

Please keep an eye on ParentSquare for specific details and information from your child's building, including details about school pictures. All students must have their picture taken for the school yearbook and Infinite Campus Family Portal, even if you do not plan to purchase a photo package. If a student misses the August dates, they can have their photo taken on the school retake day

High School Families: Watch for details about a Back-to-School Night on September 14 where you will have the opportunity to meet all of your student’s teachers.

Coming Soon: The Norski Academy
The Norski Academy, a new seven-month program designed to give community members an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the DeForest Area School District. Full program information and the official application form will be shared soon.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Enjoy the rest of your summer, and we look forward to seeing everyone very soon!

Sincerely,

Dr. Rebecca Toetz

DASD Superintendent

This message is from our district office.

If parents are asking about parent portal access, please let them know because of the high volume of registrations and a technical issue, we are delayed by a few days, but they should receive their parent portal access starting near the end of this week.
Thank you!
