Dearborn Heights Professional Firefighters Union Local 1355

As we approach this election season, Local 1355 was contacted by a number of candidates looking for endorsements. Each candidate who reached out to us was given a questionnaire which was then evaluated by our executive board and PAC committee.

After this, our members voted on which candidates we feel will best fulfill the duties of the position.

Congratulations to Lieutenant Dunham for graduating from the 2026 Eastern Michigan University Staff and Command Executive Leadership Program! This nine month leadership course finishes with a research paper and presentation. Great work Lt!

This past Thursday, Local 1355 members Ahner, Conrad, Calver, Baile-Jann, and Greiner were sworn in to the .p.f.f.u by President at the 4th district meeting hosted by Van Buren Professional Firefighters, Local 5550.

These meetings are an excellent look into what our state, locals and do for our members. 💪

The Dearborn Heights Firefighters 34th Annual DHPFFU Chili Cook-Off at Parkland Park was a great time for the whole community.

Thanks to everyone who came out for the food, games, and raffles, and to Local 1355 for putting on another great event. Proceeds from the day benefit Local 1355 charities and the Great Lakes Burn Camp.

On this day of remembrance of those who lost their lives in the 9/11 terrorist attacks 25 years ago, our retired members of DHFD and Local 1355 gathered at HQ to remember the times they had together in this career that stays with you forever.

We can never get back what was taken from us years ago, but we can remember those lost and cherish those who are with us.

John's chili might not be able to make it to the 35th annual DHPFFU, Local 1355 Chili Cook-Off but there's plenty of other chili to try this Saturday, at Lower Parkland Park!

All our cooks are using meat from Ali El-Sayed and the proceeds from the event go to support the Local 1355 charity fund and Great Lakes Burn Camp!

Bring the whole family for a great cause and to see who are crowned the best cooks in Dearborn Heights. 🏆🌶️🏆

We would like to invite our local restaurants and home chefs to bring your hummus to be voted on as the best in the Dearborn Heights! To sweeten the pot, there is also a $200 first prize! Notify Albert Tannus by September 10th if you want in!

The highly coveted chili cook off shirts are in! This year we not only have shirts but a limited amount of sweatshirts and kid size t-shirts! You can purchase them at our HQ Station, 1999 Beech Daly, or at the cook off. We run out every year so get your hands in em early!
