🎄 2026 WISE COUNTY COURTHOUSE CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS ARE HERE! 🎄

We're excited to announce that our 2026 Wise County Courthouse Christmas ornaments will go on sale Monday, October 19!

As in previous years, these beautiful keepsakes are $25 each and are proudly made in America by Beacon Design of Rhode Island, the same company that produces the annual White House and Texas Capitol Christmas ornaments.

Proceeds from this year's ornament sales will benefit the Wise History Museum, supporting its important work preserving and sharing the history of Wise County.

📍 Ornaments may be purchased at either location:

🏛️ Wise County Judge's Office, 101 N. Trinity Street, Decatur, 3rd Floor, Wise County Courthouse. Sales begin Monday, October 19.

🏛️ Wise History Museum, 119 N. State Street, Decatur. Please note: The Museum is closed on Mondays. Ornaments will be available during the Museum's regular operating hours and during Museum events.

Whether you're continuing your collection or purchasing your first Courthouse ornament, we hope you'll take home a little piece of Wise County history this Christmas season!

🎄 $25 each | Available beginning October 19!

One day I might get tired of courthouse sunsets. Today is not that day.

DON’T FORGET: we now are able to livestream Commissioners Court meetings from the Historic Wise County Courthouse, including an agenda to accompany. Livestream is available at https://wisecountytx.new.swagit.com/views/908/

We typically meet on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month at 9am, including THIS Monday, June 22. We are proud to have this new capability to increase accessibility and transparency. You can also view previously recorded Commissioners Court meetings.

Just like the goal of the Texas Historical Commission Historic Courthouse Preservation Grant Program states, it’s a working courthouse, not a museum, so she looks like 1896 but works like 2026!
