🚒🚑 FIRST RESPONDERS — THERE’S A SEAT AT OUR TABLE! ☕🥞
We need each other long before we ever need help.
Every day, firefighters, EMS personnel, law enforcement officers, and dispatchers answer the call to help others. But when one of our own needs someone to lean on, where do they turn?
Not every department has an established peer support program. Not everyone feels comfortable talking to someone within their own department. And sometimes, just knowing there’s someone outside your organization who understands what you do can make all the difference.
That’s part of why we’re building the Mud Tavern Peer Support & C.A.R.E. Team.
Our goal is simple: Build relationships, connect first responders across our communities, and help make sure nobody has to face life’s challenges alone.
But those relationships don’t begin when someone is struggling. They begin by getting to know one another, building trust, and creating connections.
And what better way to start than sitting down together for breakfast?

⏰ 9:00 AM
📍 Mud Tavern Fire/Rescue — Station 1
2278 Kirby Bridge Road, Decatur, AL
We’re inviting ALL first responders — career and volunteer firefighters, EMS, law enforcement, dispatchers, and our neighboring departments.
This isn’t a meeting, training class, or counseling session. There’s no agenda, no pressure, and no expectation to share anything personal.
Just good food, coffee, fellowship, and an opportunity to connect with people who understand the job.
You don’t have to be struggling to attend. You don’t have to belong to Mud Tavern. And you don’t have to wait until you need support to become part of a support network.
You might never need someone to lean on, but one day someone may need to lean on you.
Help us build something that reaches beyond department lines and strengthens the entire first responder community.
Bring a friend, bring your crew, or just bring yourself. We’d love to have you at the table!
