Last week we recognized Sgt. Kenny Moran, Investigator Michael Pacheco, and Deputy Jonathan Hale with Life Saving Awards for their actions during a recent incident involving a man trapped inside a burning vehicle.

Without hesitation, these three stepped into an extremely dangerous situation to help rescue a life. This is the kind of courage and bravery that defines the men and women who wear the badge. They understand the risks that come with this profession, yet when someone needs help, they run toward the danger with the hope of saving a life.

We’ve previously shared video of this incident, but today we recognize the men behind those actions. They put their own lives at risk in hopes of saving someone else’s—and that is a sacrifice worthy of recognition.

Please join us in congratulating Sgt. Moran, Investigator Pacheco, and Deputy Hale on this well-deserved honor. 👏🏼🇺🇸

Two years ago, Wise County lost one of its own. Today, we remember Deputy Lex Love and the person behind the badge—his dedication, his service, and the lasting impact he made on his fellow deputies, friends, and our community.

Two years have passed, but the memories remain. His service continues to be honored, his sacrifice never forgotten, and his legacy carried on by those who had the privilege of knowing him. #6165
