Are you ready to make a difference in your community? Decherd Fire & Rescue is looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Volunteer Firefighter. As a Volunteer Firefighter of our Department, you’ll receive hands-on training, valuable experience, and the opportunity to help protect and serve those around you.

What We Offer:
• Comprehensive training in fire safety, emergency response, and lifesaving techniques
• A supportive and close-knit team environment
• Opportunities to promote to Part-Time and Full-Time
• The chance to give back to your community in a meaningful way

What We’re Looking For:
• Someone who lives local (Franklin County)
• Willingness to commit to regular training and emergency response duties
• Ability to work well in a team and remain calm under pressure
• Physical fitness and the ability to handle demanding situations
• Prior experience in Firefighting is a plus, but not required

Recently, members of Decherd Fire & Rescue hosted TFACA (TN Fire Academy) and members of Tullahoma Fire Department for a two day aerial class. We were fortunate for TFACA bringing down their brand new state of art E-One Tower for us to utilize. Members trained on many different scenarios around town to become better familiar with our ladder truck, and we also got to see some advantages to having a tower (ladder with a bucket). The fire academy always puts on a tremendous class for us and members learned a lot!

We wanted to let everyone know we will be out all around town doing our yearly in service training with Tennessee Fire and Codes Academy (TFACA). You will see members at various locations with our Ladder truck. No roads will be shut down. We apologize for any inconveniences

Thank you to everyone that attended the show last night even through the light rain we had a blast. Thank you to all our sponsors that made it happen. We also want to give a special shoutout to Keith W. Henley with 411 Fireworks for putting an amazing show on. We hope everyone had a “blast”
