The Dedham-Westwood Water District will conduct water main flushing in Dedham and Westwood this week.

Flushing operations will occur between 3 and 11 p.m. at the following locations on:

Wednesday and Thursday, October 21-22:
- High Street (from Bridge Street, Dedham to Blueberry Lane, Westwood)
- Dover Road (from High Street to the Dover town line)

Saturday, October 24:
- Fox Hill St (from Gay Street to High Street)
- Dover Road (from High Street to Dover town line)

Sunday, October 25:
- Any remaining flushing areas that were not completed above will be flushed.

Residents located within the above flushing areas AND surrounding streets may experience low water pressure and discolored water.

Dedham-Westwood Water District to Flush Water Mains via Hydrants in Dedham Starting Tuesday, October 6

Dedham, MA – The Dedham-Westwood Water District will begin flushing water mains via hydrants in Dedham starting on Tuesday, October 6.

Flushing operations will be conducted in Dedham for approximately six weeks, typically Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. At times, flushing will also be conducted at night, Sunday through Thursday, from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Flushing may reduce water pressure and cause discolored water.

Rock Meadow Road Water Main Break Update as of Tuesday, Sept. 22, 7:30 AM: Water is currently being restored to the neighborhood. Some residents may experience water discoloration and inconsistent pressure.

Trench and road restoration efforts remain underway, and Rock Meadow Road is closed to through traffic. Traffic will be detoured onto Cedar Lane until road repairs are fully complete.

The Dedham-Westwood Water District is responding to a water main break on Rock Meadow Road in Westwood.

While repairs are being made, the following properties will experience a temporary water disruption:
- All properties on Cedar Lane and Old Stone Road
- Portion of Rock Meadow Road (between Dover Road and the second portion of Cedar Lane, closest to High Rock Lane)

Surrounding streets near the main break area may experience discolored water and/or inconsistent water pressure.

Repairs are expected to take 8 to 10 hours.
