🎄❤️ DYC GIFT GIVING ROLLS ON! ❤️🎄 -deadline approaching-

The holidays are coming, and the Dedham Youth Commission is once again here to help make the season a little brighter for Dedham families.

If you think you may need a little extra help this holiday season, please sign up! You do not need to be in crisis, and you do not need to have received assistance before. Whether this is your first time experiencing financial hardship or you simply know that a little extra support would make the holidays easier, we are here for you. ❤️

ALL Dedham residents are eligible, regardless of where your child attends school.

Depending on availability and your family's preferences, support may include:
🎁 Gifts for children
💳 Gift cards
🎁💳 A combination of gift cards and gifts
🍽️ Optional holiday meal support through the Dedham Food Pantry

We work with other community organizations to stretch our resources and reach as many families as possible. If you are already receiving holiday assistance elsewhere, please let us know so we can help make sure resources reach families who don't have another source of support. If you're unsure, please reach out. We would much rather talk with you than have someone go without.

The Town of Dedham is seeking two residents to join the Core Team for the Norwood-Dedham-Milton Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Update (MVP 2.0). As a Community Liaison, you’ll help assess climate resilience priorities and translate them into local action.

About the Community Liaison Role:
➡️ Explore climate resilience in Dedham and surrounding areas, considering climate change impacts and social, environmental, and economic factor
➡️ Engage with community members to identify actions that increase resilience
➡️ Help update Dedham’s priorities and develop a project that supports climate resilience
➡️ Participate in regular meetings and organize community engagement activities (such as events, surveys, social media outreach)

For serving in this role, you will get:
✅️ $3,200 honorarium for 9 months of work (October 2026 – June 2027, approx. 80 hours total) - Paid for through State Grant for MVP 2.0 Planning
✅️ Develop new skills in climate communication
✅️ Help to impact and influence Dedham’s climate resilience investments

Today we pause to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001. 🇺🇸

We remember the victims, the families who continue to carry their loss, and the brave first responders and everyday heroes who showed extraordinary courage. May we never forget. ❤️🤍💙

Today, we had the Ice Cream Emergency Bus at O’Neil Drive and Doggett Circle. Anyone who attended receive a mega scoop of ice cream and some toppings. Delicious! 🍦🍨
