At last night’s training, we had the privilege of presenting certificates to the members who successfully completed our department’s very first in-house Basic Fire School program!

This program consists of 80 hours of hands-on, competency-based training designed to provide our new firefighters with the foundational knowledge and skills needed to serve our community safely and effectively.

These members dedicated countless hours to learning, training, and challenging themselves. Their hard work, commitment, and willingness to learn have not gone unnoticed, and we couldn’t be prouder of what they’ve accomplished!

We also took the opportunity to recognize Captain Tim Hall for his outstanding dedication and hard work in putting this program together. From planning and organizing to instructing and mentoring our newest members, Captain Hall played a tremendous role in making this program a success.

Yesterday, we were honored to be part of the Dedham Historical Society’s Time Capsule Burial at the Dedham School!

A piece of our community’s history is now buried beneath the school grounds, preserving memories and stories of Dedham for future generations.

The time capsule is scheduled to be opened on July 4, 2076, 50 years from now! While many of us may not be here to witness that special day, we hope the youth of our community will have the opportunity to look back and appreciate the rich history of the place we call home.

A huge thank you to the Dedham Historical Society for their hard work and dedication to preserving our town’s history. We’re proud to have been part of this special occasion! 🇺🇸🚒

Countless hours of studying, training, and hard work went into achieving this goal, and today that dedication has paid off.

Khanye, congratulations on this well-earned accomplishment. We’re incredibly proud of you and all the work you put in to get here.

💧 A huge thank you to Poland Springs! 💧

The Dedham/Lucerne Fire Department would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to Poland Spring for their generous donation of a full pallet of bottled water to our department!

Having water readily available is incredibly important for keeping our firefighters hydrated during fires, training exercises, and other extended incidents, especially during the warmer months.

We greatly appreciate Poland Spring’s generosity and support of our firefighters and our community.

We’re proud to announce that Firefighters Tim O’Neill and Khanye Cogdell both successfully passed their Firefighter I & II Skills Exam yesterday! 🚒🔥

Congratulations, gentlemen! All of the hard work, long hours, and dedication you’ve put into getting to this point has paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder of you both!

Tim and Khanye will take their written exam next month, which is the final step in completing the process and earning their Pro Board Firefighter I & II certification.
