Today we pause to remember the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.
On that day, 2,977 innocent lives were lost. Among those we lost were hundreds of first responders who ran toward danger to save others.
We honor the victims, the survivors, the families still carrying the weight of that loss, and every hero who answered the call.
The courage shown that day by law enforcement, firefighters, and ordinary citizens remains a powerful reminder of the strength and resilience of our nation.
The men and women of the Deephaven Police Department stand with communities across America in remembrance. Officer Janisch had the privilege of traveling to the World Trade Center in New York to honor the fallen and represent the Deephaven Police Department.
We will never forget.
