This Saturday at 10:30.
We will start at the library with a presentation and then go to the Fire Hall. We will get a tour of the hall, the trucks, and take turns going through the Smokehouse!

Do you want to help support the Fire Dept and show you proudly support us?

We have been working with Golden Made Creations to get this design done and we will be having some for you to purchase at our Chili feed this Saturday.

We have a limited few made for us to display and sell at the chili feed, but if we run out of your size or we have a good demand for them we will have a order form at the chili feed also to be able to get more made and to those that would like them.

Just like all our fundraisers, they help us to buy new and better equipment, but besides that we are still building up a funding account for a new fire hall. Every little bit helps! We hope to see you all Saturday and hopefully you like this design and will consider buying one or a few!!!

What do you see in this picture? Familiar faces? Firefighters? First responders? People that care and love to give back to their community? Or ALL OF THE ABOVE!

BUT...we can take it one step further! In this picture there is a century of service. Thank you to Ralph and Duke for their 50 years of service this month for both of them!

Be sure to come to the chili feed this month and say thank you for their time and dedication. Are they done? NO! We are proud to have their years of service and knowledge keeping us going!!!

Last night members of DPFD were tasked with a controlled burn of an old farm house that was no longer safe for habitation. Controlled burns like this give us a chance to not only observe fire behavior in a controlled environment but also practice some of our skills in a non emergency situation. Everything from drop tank and hose line setup, chainsaw use, and everything in between.

From light up to burnt down was within one hour. Will a plan of attack and using the balloon frame structure to our advantage the home owner has very little mess afterwards to clean up and doesn't have to worry about potential squatters or other situations if someone being hurt in an abandoned building.

Thank you to the property owner for the chance to get a practice like this as they don't come very often, and thank you to Ally Mae Photography for some of the great shots of the burn and our group!

With sadness we share the passing of one of our former members. Mike Alexander not only served as a firefighter for us, but also held the role of secretary/treasurer and also Fire Inspector for us for some years. Along with firefighter duties, he was also a first responder for many years of service with our Deer Park First Responder group. Thank you Mike for your time served, we have it from here!
