NOW HIRING: Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Director

The Defiance County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for a full-time Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Director.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift with on call responsibilities
Pay: $27.00–$35.00 per hour
Benefits: Paid holidays, County health insurance, vacation time, and OPERS retirement.
This position is responsible for coordinating the county’s emergency management efforts, including preparedness, prevention, response, recovery, and mitigation for natural and man-made emergencies and disasters. The position works closely with state, regional, and local partners to build emergency response capabilities and ensure the county is prepared to handle emergencies. Applicants should have experience in administration and program management, be willing to travel for required training, certifications, and meetings, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong public relations and customer service skills, the ability to multitask and remain calm under stressful situations, and a valid Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driving record are also required.
