A tiny pocket of sanity in the swirling maelstrom of our lives. Let your worldly stresses unwind, sit by the fire, walk on the beach, regain your serenity

The Mud Castle grew around the family of Jonathan Delbruck, over several decades. As the family grew and changed, La Mancha evolved along with it. It has been home for countless souls since the roof was sealed in 1969. A short walk takes you to the beach, or to a silent wonderland of sandstone bluffs and ancient torrey pines.
