Celebrating a Special Milestone at Devils River State Natural Area!

Today, I had the pleasure of attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Dan Allen Hughes Unit at Devils River State Natural Area.

It was a wonderful opportunity to come together and celebrate a special milestone for one of our region’s natural treasures. The beauty of the Devils River is something our community can truly appreciate, and seeing the continued efforts to protect and preserve these lands for future generations is especially meaningful.

I was also glad to share this occasion with fellow Precinct 2 Commissioner Juan Carlos VΓ‘zquez, Texas State Representative Eddie Morales, and Harold Stone, Chief of Staff for the Texas Senator Peter Flores.

A heartfelt thank you to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the invitation and for bringing everyone together for this memorable occasion. I would also like to recognize Craig Bonds, Chief Operating Officer, and David Yoskowitz, Chief Executive Officer of Texas Parks and Wildlife, for their leadership and contributions to this milestone.

As Commissioner of Precinct 3, I am grateful to have been part of this celebration and to see the continued appreciation for the natural beauty that makes our region so special.

Congratulations to everyone who helped make this day possible! May we continue to appreciate, protect, and preserve these beautiful places for generations to come.
