Experience matters, and at CGE we are lucky to have so many faculty, staff and administrative employees with years of experience with Over the last few weeks, CGE employees with 10-30 years of experience received their certificate and service pins, celebrating and recognizing their commitment to our students and school community. Congratulations to our staff that earned VCS 10, 20, and 30 year pins! Together, we are stronger and happier because of each one of you!

When you read all 15 of the SSYRA Books you definitely deserve a celebration! Last week, Mrs. Young hosted this wonderful party: The All 15 Party! She had 20 people finish all 15 SSYRA this year, 11 of which were students! Mrs. Young and these 11 students did one thing from each book such s: slime (Invisible Boy), escape room (Mystery of the Locked Room), and chess (Always, Clementine), they then ended the party with some fabulous karaoke, because, Why not?! 😂 A great gown was had by all, creating memories to last a lifetime.

“Squeagle’s Summer Adventures” at Citrus Grove Elementary are off and soaring. His first stop this summer is with the Turner Family to the Denver Zoo! Thank you Braxton 🍊

Our year as teachers officially closes Monday, but our final faculty meeting of the year is in the books! Thanks to our incredible angels we shared final moments and news over a healthy and sweet breakfast sponsored by them. Our village is always thinking of us, and we are definitely thinking of them, grateful for their financial, in persons, and of the heart support all year! Together, we are oh so happy!

Between kickball and beach balls, Team Hopple really had a “ball” on our last day! It was a super special and fun year, especially when they took a trip to Hawaii, dined on some Hawaiian cuisine, and watched Lilo and Stitch with their very own class version of Lilo and Stitch! Together, they had a marvelous and happy year, empowered to advance to 4th Grade (well, not Mrs. hopple- she has to stay)! Happy Summer.

School’s out for Summer, and Squeagle is ready to soar with you! Near or far, we would love to connect with you by sharing our summer experiences, because you know we are happier and stronger when “together”. Shooting HOOPS with Coach Grenier as a reward from the Walk-a-Thon was completed this week! Congrats to all these 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders who worked hard and earned this delightful reward!

Yep, this closes out another year at The Grove with the best Framily around. Thank you to , a parent at CGE and small business member of DeLand, for providing us a place to celebrate another great year at CGE, where together we remain happier and stronger! Special thanks to Mrs. Marsh and Ms. Nerber for organizing this time together. Happy Summer!
