Welcome to Delano Delano’s LegacyBarberStudio!💈
I wasn’t able to catch their grand opening this week, but I wanted to stop by and say hello — even got a hair cut! It is refreshing to see young people like 💸Daniel Romero💫 taking opportunities grow and become part of our local business community. Check them out!

Before tonight’s council meeting, I stopped by a couple of our projects! 🚦🚸 We have two new traffic lights on 11th Ave, and we have a few new sidewalks as part of the ongoing Garces Highway revitalization.

A happy 50th anniversary to Jenny’s Cafe! 🎉

Here, I’m pictured with Crystal, Mariel, and Estela — “Jenny’s” granddaughters! They’re doing an excellent job in continuing their family’s legacy. Today, until 9pm as part of their celebration, they’re hosting a pop-up to to uplift other rising businesses. Check it if you’re free!

Went for a run this morning and passed by the next phase of the Foxwood area! 🏃‍♂️

I know several community residents have been asking what’s being built over here lately.

Just a quick update: Late last year, the City Council approved the final maps and subdivision agreements for the next phase of housing by San Joaquin Valley homes, right south of Avenida Castro, between Hiett Ave and Albany St (check out the public tract maps). They’ve been making quick progress coming from Albany Street. My second picture is from Hiett Avenue.

Also, I got to run into one of my all-time faves from high school, Jerry!

This Thursday! The Recreation team will be hosting a meeting for the new Civic Park Plaza.

🌳The City of Delano is proposing to transform the green space adjacent to City Hall into Civic Park Plaza — a welcoming gathering place designed for community events, recreation, and public enjoyment.
We want to hear your ideas! Join us on Thursday, August 27, from 5:30–7:00 p.m. at the Delano Civic Center (1009 11th Avenue) and help us create a vibrant, greener space for our community.
Your voice matters. We hope to see you there! 🌳
