What do chicken pens have to do with OWU Libraries? 🐔🖊️

Today, we hosted seniors from Hayes High School for their annual research project visit. It’s become a tradition to gift students a new novelty pen to take research notes, and this semester’s pick was an instant favorite.

We love our sessions working with Delaware juniors and seniors and are always looking to connect with more schools. So help us spread the word!

Twenty-five years ago, many of us watched the news of this day unfold in real time. For many of our current students, these events are not a lived memory, but historical record—and how we care for that record matters.

Today, as the campus reflects on the events of September 11, 2001, we join in this remembrance by offering a quiet space for anyone seeking a moment of contemplation, as well as access to resources like the 9/11 Television News Archive for those wishing to deepen their understanding.

While it’s always bittersweet to say goodbye to our newest graduates, we love knowing that an alumni visit is always just around the corner.

Walking down memory lane this weekend? We’re making it even easier! The library is currently working on a long-term project to digitize our entire collection of yearbooks.

Currently, you can browse full digital copies from 1960–1979, plus select years from 1980–2016.
