Members, we are currently experiencing an outage affecting our Dryden substation. We’ve had crews working to restore power for the past several hours and think we are close to having the situation resolved. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Our lobby will be closed today, May 14, 2026 until 12pm for an all employee training.

As always our automated line will be available for reporting outages or making payments (855) 939-3672. Please call 607-746-2341 for assistance as needed.

POLE INSPECTIONS: A notice to our members in the Southern Delhi area, from our Line Superintendent:

Currently the Cooperative has a contractor working in your area doing pole and line inspections. This contractor will be walking and/or driving the lines with a UTV. He will have a DCEC emblem on his vehicle and DCEC logo on his hard hat. This work is expected to take approximately two months, but is weather dependent.

This pole and line inspection is a vital part of the Cooperatives Safety program and very important to identifying and correcting issues prior to them becoming outages or safety hazards. If you should have any concerns, please call the office at 607-746-2341.

Our crews will be in the Town of Jefferson exchanging electric meters over the coming days. You may see our trucks and lineworkers in the area as this work takes place. Crews may need to access your property, including fenced yards, to access cooperative owned electric equipment. You may experience a brief interruption of electric service as this work takes place. Please be aware and secure pets. No other action is needed from members—thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue to maintain reliable and affordable service!

April brings us Lineworker Appreciation Day. We recognize those that, no matter the time of day or weather conditions, head out to keep our lights (and heat!) on. Their dedication is unsurpassed. We here at DCEC are appreciative of our Line crew everyday, but we will certainly take a day to thank them, for all they do!
