We had the privilege of attending College & Career Day at Central High School yesterday on behalf of the Clay County Fire Association.

Joining Travis and me were Dustin Miles from Coppermine VFD, Chase Gray from Pine Grove VFD, and Katie Denney from Bluff Springs VFD. We were also joined by Davey Holcombe, who teaches the Firefighter 160 class at the high school.

We are so proud to have this class offered at our local high school and to see the opportunities and doors it can open for these students. Programs like this give young people a chance to explore careers in the fire and emergency service and learn valuable skills that can benefit them for years to come.

We are proud to support our students, our schools, and the future of the fire service! 🚒❤️

I would like to start this post by saying THANK YOU to Coppermine VFD for hosting a mutual aid appreciation dinner last night and inviting our department. We truly appreciate your fire department and your kindness in including us. We sincerely apologize for missing the dinner, but we were paged just an hour before it began.
Thank you for sending us dinner!

The full moon was beautiful last night—and we certainly had plenty of opportunities to see it! 🌕🚒

Shinbone Valley VFD was paged at 4:38 PM for a one-vehicle accident and returned to service at 8:20 PM. We would like to thank Clay E911, Clay County Rescue Squad, Clay County Sheriff's Office, ALEA, Forestry Officer Dodd, and Bishop Towing for working this call alongside us.

Then, at 11:42 PM, SVFD was paged for a medical call and returned to service at 12:35 AM. A huge thank you to Clay E911, Clay County Sheriff's Department, Ashland PD, Lineville PD, and Clay County Rescue Squad.

I also want to take a moment to thank the people who stopped to help the young man involved in the accident, as well as the concerned neighbors who reached out to me regarding the medical call.

Thank you for caring. Thank you for stepping up. ❤️
