Yoga and meditation offer a gentle, nurturing space for adolescents navigating academic pressures and daily stressors. By fostering emotional regulation and mental clarity, these practices provide teenagers with valuable tools for lifelong well-being. Whether guiding adolescents through the pressures of school or supporting adults through one of life’s transitions, Lorig has tailored mindfulness tools to meet each person where they are.
Please join us on October 22nd for this specialized teen session, which will combine gentle physical movement with a restorative guided meditation.
Attire: Please dress in comfortable clothing which allows you to move freely and breathe easily. We also recommend bringing an extra layer of warm clothing to ensure warmth during the still meditation portion of the class.
Equipment: Participants should bring a yoga mat.

The Demarest Free Public Library would like to thank The Mayor and Council and the Demarest Community on behalf of our Library Director, Parinda Desai, who was recognized with a Certificate of Appreciation for Outstanding Leadership and Dedication. This certificate was presented at the Mayor and Council meeting on October 13th 2026.

We would like to thank the Mayor and Council for this meaningful distinction. It is a privilege to serve our Demarest community, and we are very fortunate to be part of a community that values its library and the many ways it brings people together.

We hope to see you at the library soon!
