We had our Annual National Night Out Event last night and again it was very successful. I would like to thank the community that came out, interacted with our officers and fellowshipped with us as well as the officers that came out on their off time and brought their families.

There has always been a lot of support and participation from businesses and organizations when it comes to this event, and we would like to thank them for their ongoing support.

The Demopolis Police Department will be hosting National Night Out at the Demopolis City Landing on October 13th from 6:00pm-9:00pm. We encourage our partners and community members to participate. We would like to congratulate Sergeant Cleshanah Barlow and FTO Deante Wilson for successfully completing the Southeastern Law Enforcement Development Seminar this week put on by the F.B.I. in Opelika-Auburn. The primary focus of this training is to promote advanced leadership, contemporary policing issues, and administrative strategies for law enforcement executives..

We would like to thank Alabama Power Greene County Steam Plant for their donation of stuffed animals to the Demopolis Police Department. Stuffed animals are given to children by our officers for several different reasons. On emergency scenes it helps calm anxiety, distracts the child's focus away from a frightening or chaotic environment and assists in building a positive relationship with Law Enforcement.

We would like to introduce the newest certified Demopolis Police Officers. Officers Mary Dussett and Ladarius White graduated from Alabama Criminal Justice Training Center today. We are extremely proud of them.

DPD Signing Day

Today we hired Lily Tuberville and Chase Qualls to become the newest members of the Demopolis Police Department . Both Lily and Chase are 2026 graduates of Demopolis High School. They will start as Police Cadets until they are old enough to attend the Police Academy. During their time here as cadets , they will support police operations while receiving training , gaining practical experience and receive exposure to real-life enforcement scenarios.

They will receive a salary along with 100% percent paid tuition to the Alabama Criminal Justice Training Center Police Academy and be certified as a Police Officer by the Alabama Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission.

I feel that this Cadet Program will be useful in many ways. It will help our recruiting , provide jobs for our young people and benefit the community by hiring from within the community.

🚔🚒 Who will win the Stuff the Bus Challenge? 📚✏️

Join us at Demopolis Walmart during Stuff the Bus as the Demopolis Fire Department and Demopolis Police Department go head-to-head in a friendly competition to see which department can collect the most school supplies for local students!

Every donation helps equip local students and teachers for a successful school year, so no matter who wins, our community comes out on top!

Bring the whole family! The fire truck and police vehicles will be on site for children to take photos with and meet some of the men and women who proudly serve our community.

The Demopolis Police Department will never ask for personal information or payments over the phone. If you receive a phone like this, please hang up and call (334)289-3072 to report it.
