The Denison Police Department is a highly professional organization where all of our employees are eager to be of service to our community. The members of the police department comprise men and women of high character and integrity that serve our community. We strive to enhance the quality of life in Denison through partnerships with our citizens, the schools, and the business community. “Doing our best with every contact” is a constant goal of all of our police employees. Through community outreach programs and contacts, we look for every opportunity to promote community involvement.

Our department stands with survivors and is committed to raising awareness, supporting victims, and working to break the cycle of abuse.

October 10 is World Mental Health Day, and we’d like to take a moment to highlight mental health resources available in our community.

For more than a year, the Denison Police Department has partnered with Texoma Community Center through a co-responder program.

This partnership brings law enforcement and mental health professionals together to help de-escalate crises, connect individuals with appropriate services and resources, and reduce strain on emergency systems, including law enforcement and healthcare.

Texoma Community Center is a valuable local resource for community members seeking mental health support and services.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 911.

After careful consideration, Officer Garber has been selected as our Officer of the Quarter for the third quarter of 2026!

While each nominated officer brings valuable contributions to our department, Officer Garber is recognized for his positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dedication to the Denison Police Department. Always willing to step up and lend a hand, he consistently demonstrates professionalism and dependability.

As a Field Training Officer (FTO), he also plays an important role in mentoring and preparing the next generation of officers.

His willingness to step up, take on additional responsibilities, and support the department wherever needed reflects his commitment to both fellow officers and the community he serves.

Congratulations, Officer Garber, on this well-deserved recognition! Thank you for your continued service and commitment to our department and community!

Thank you to everyone who attended our seventh annual National Night Out last night! We truly appreciate you taking the time to join us and make the evening such a success.

We’d also like to extend a special thank you to the businesses and community members who contributed to the event, including Simmons Bank - Denison, TX for providing hot dogs and First United Bank - Denison Main for providing water.

A huge thank you to Denison Fire Rescue for helping us plan and execute the event, as well as to all of the other law enforcement agencies who were present and showed their support.

We’re grateful to Jade Shafer Photography and AR Productions for helping us preserve the memories of this special night.

We couldn’t have made the impact we did without each and every one of you!

The Denison Police Department remains committed to fostering a safer, more connected community and we are grateful for the relationship-building opportunities that National Night Out provides.

We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
