🍂💊 Fall is a great time to clean out your medicine cabinet!

As we head into the holiday season, take a few minutes to check your home for unused, unwanted or expired prescription medications. Properly disposing of these medications helps prevent accidental poisonings, prescription drug misuse and potential harm to the environment.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, October 24, 2026, making this the perfect opportunity to safely clear out medications you no longer need!

📍 Looking for a convenient drop-off location? Visit https://www.dea.gov/takebackday to find a participating collection site near you.

And remember, you don't have to wait for Take Back Day! Caroline County residents can also use these local medication drop-off locations throughout the year:

✔️ Caroline County Sheriff's Office – 9305 Double Hills Road, Denton (lobby drop-off)

✔️ Denton Police Department – Weekdays, 8 AM–4 PM

A few minutes spent cleaning out your medicine cabinet can make a meaningful difference in keeping medications out of the wrong hands.
