Hodge Elementary Established in 1987, Hodge Elementary proudly serves students in the Ryan Zone - Home of Champions. Our school motto is: Whatever it takes. No excuses.

Named after beloved educator Eva Swan Hodge, our school continues her legacy by fostering an environment where together we learn, forever we grow! Hodge Elementary has been providing a quality education to students in Denton for more than 20 years. Known for its ability to make strong connections with its families, students at Hodge have the necessary support to grow academically and socially through their elementary years. Much like its namesake, former Denton ISD teacher Eva Swan Hodge, the school adopts both new and proven educational measures to help students succeed. This leads to a caring environment, where fun and structure go hand-in-hand with learning.

On World Mental Health Day, we're reminding every dad, father figure and positive role model that taking care of yourself is part of taking care of your kids. They learn how to handle hard days by watching us.

Watch DOGS are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer for at least one day each year at an official WATCH D.O.G.S. ® school. During the day, WatchDOGS may read and work on flash cards with students, play at recess, eat lunch with students, watch the school entrances and hallways, assist with traffic flow and any other assigned activities where they actively engage with not only their own students, but other students as well.
1. Complete the Denton ISD Volunteer Application.
2. Sign up for a day that works for you below.
3. Show up for your scheduled day ready for a day of fun with Hodge students.
4. Email or call Armandina Austin (counselor) if you have any questions at [email protected] or 940-369-2800 ext. 2
