Park Hill developers fail a test of integrity - The Denver Post Adrienna Corrales Lujan is an eternal optimist. It’s a core requirement for her community work as the executive director at Sisters of Color United For Education.

The Denver Post Editorial Board Says NO on 2 O
The Denver Post finds the deal to lift the conservation easement lacking and a bad deal for the people of Denver, one where elected officials failed to ask basic questions guarding the interests of taxpayers.
Vote NO on 2 O Vote no on ballot measure 2O to preserve the Park Hill Golf Course land as open space for all Denver residents' quality of life and health.

For the past 4 years, we've observed and protested the city's attempt to ignore the community's rights and voice in the matter of the perpetual conservation easement and the need to protect our vanishing urban green space in the midst of a climate crisis, and locally, a Heat Island with only a 2% tree canopy. The city's sham "Planning Process", the ethically-challenged survey, and finally the City Council's votes to ratify an illegal rezoning request, an end-run attempt to bypass state law, and even an unconstitutional multimillion dollar gift to a private company could not be allowed to go without judicial notice. So on Friday, we as a group and as individuals filed a lawsuit to stop this on-going abuse of authority on the part of the city's soon-to-be-replaced leadership and department heads. Don't sell our community short! Vote NO on 2 O and get the THIRD largest park in Denver *and* the housing in the Transit Oriented District just across the street!
Lawsuit filed against Denver in Park Hill Golf Course redevelopment A lawsuit was filed Friday in Denver District Court against the city over proposed redevelopment of the Park Hill Golf Course.

Yes for Parks and Open Space Why We Should Build Around The PHGC Land, Not On It

"Yes On Parks & Open Space (Initiated Ordinance 301) helps to protect our parks and open spaces from unchecked development. The Park Hill Golf Course land is currently protected by a City-owned conservation easement that Denver voters approved and paid for ($2M in 1997) to protect this green space from development. Now a developer wants to eliminate the easement to turn this space into concrete. Vote Yes on 301 and No on 302" - Tony Pigford
Ballots are out. VOTE by Nov. 2nd YES for Parks and Open Space is an initiative launched by a group of concerned citizens who want to ensure that the voters in the City and County of Denver have a voice in how the land in our designated parks and open spaces – protected by conservation easements – can be used.
