🌟 Small Hands, BIG Hearts: Reamstown Elementary Makes a Difference! ❤️
What happens when an entire school comes together with a heart for serving others? AMAZING things! 💙
Last Friday, Reamstown Elementary School celebrated its annual Day of Service, partnering with the Reamstown PTA and the local community to show that even the youngest hands can make a BIG difference! Students in kindergarten through fifth grade rolled up their sleeves, opened their hearts, and turned kindness into action throughout the Cocalico community.
Just look at the incredible impact these students made! 👏
🎨 70 handmade crafts created for the personal care residents at Faithful Living, bringing creativity, smiles, and a little extra joy to their day.
🇺🇸 100 treat bags prepared for local veterans through Reinholds VFW, honoring those who have served our country.
🚒 66 snack bags assembled for local first responders as a small way of saying THANK YOU to the everyday heroes who keep our community safe.
🪙 More than $1,000 in change collected for the Cocalico Education Foundation to support education and opportunities for local students.
🥫 675 canned goods collected for Real Life Ministries to help those in need.
🌳 School pride in action! Fifth- and sixth-grade students worked to clean up and beautify the grounds at Reamstown Elementary, making their school a better place for everyone.
The day wrapped up with a special celebration as representatives from various civic organizations came together to receive the students' gifts and recognize the power of giving back. And, of course, no celebration would be complete without a little fun! The students got to turn their principal, Mr. Augustine, into an ice cream sundae! 🍨😂 He's certainly a good sport and a great example of a school leader willing to join in the fun!
From handmade crafts and food donations to honoring veterans and supporting first responders, Reamstown Elementary demonstrated that community service isn't just something you do—it's something you teach, share, and live.
These students didn't just spend a day serving others. They learned that kindness matters, generosity makes a difference, and a stronger community starts with each of us.
