CHCS Day Program will be CLOSED today due to a Power Outage caused by the last night's storm. Virtual Day Program Services will continue as usual.
Today CHCS day program attendees all enjoyed participating in creating there very own DIY water bottle aircrafts which we also attempted to fly the bottle aircrafts by staff tossing them from upstairs.

Today at the Caring Hands Community Service Day Program our attendees participated in today’s art club where we enjoyed crafting our very own DIY Valentine’s Day Wreaths to hang for decorations.

Our Day Program attendees participated in learning and attempting to make our very own DIY-Stained Glass which turned out amazing.

A “Host Home” is a residential program model providing people with developmental disabilities a stable home environment. The program is designed to allow a person to live with a family or individual without disabilities. The focus of this model is to get away from constantly changing staff situations. In essence, the person becomes a member of the family.
aring Hands, transportation and adult day program for the elderly and disabled, seeks an administrator that is enthusiastic, compassionate, kind, and reliable. This position will be a combination of direct care responsibilities working one on one with specific clients, developing, and implementing group programs, and activities. Responsible for directing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of a licensed adult day program (that are licensed and inspected by the State of Colorado). Plans, organizes, and interprets the policies of the adult day program and transportation department's services, objectives, and standards practices. Assures compliance with Federal and State regulatory agencies to include, but not limited to, staffing requirements, medical and non-medical services provided, dietary regimens, social activities, staff education, and safety plans, etc. Responsible to identify potential abuse and neglect cases and report to the regulatory agency as necessary. Monitors program services to assure quality of care and to recommend changes in program guidelines as necessary to meet the needs of clients served at the adult day program and by the transportation department. Recommends a budget to implement stated objectives. Fosters a professional, healthful environment and an atmosphere of positive employee morale.
Provide one-on-one care for adults with developmental disabilities. Provide hands-on assistance with self-care. Assist with activities that are designed to emphasize communication, social skills, self-care, and emotional health. Aid with the developmental of gross and fine motor skills. Support improved leisure skills and independence.

Today we enjoyed a group outing to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal Wildlife Refuge for both a wonderful car ride and a quick visit through their exhibits/museum.
