Are you looking for the services of Aging Resources of Douglas County? Beginning in early October, offices will relocate to 410 S. Wilcox St. in Castle Rock, a few miles from the current offices on Fourth Street in Castle Rock.

The new location on Wilcox will provide more room to serve older adults, welcome volunteers and expand services that help residents remain independent and connected.

Follow our social media channels for information on when the move will be effective and to learn about expanded services for the older adult community.

Douglas County continues to help older adults thrive at home.

In 2026, Commissioners voted to dedicate $634,904 toward community programs to help older adults maintain security, independence and connection.

Services include:

• Delivering 35,000 hot meals
• Providing housing navigation, repairs and home modifications
• Connecting residents with chore and homemaker services
• Offering emergency rental assistance
• Responding to more than 15,000 requests for information and support
• Providing care calls and specialized case management

These services reflect priorities identified by Douglas County’s older adults, caregivers and families.

Douglas County is looking for older adults (60+) who need assistance with yard work during the Dougnad community volunteer event on Saturday, Oct. 24.

Volunteers can help with:

🍂 Raking leaves
🌱 Pulling weeds
🌸 Planting flowers

A few hours of yard work can make a lasting difference for an older neighbor. 🍂

Join us for fall Dougnad at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24. Volunteers will help older adults in Castle Rock, Castle Pines, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree and Parker with projects such as pulling weeds, pruning plants, planting flowers and raking leaves.

The morning will begin with a pancake breakfast celebration at The Lone Tree Hub, where volunteers will receive their assignments and tools.

Want to lend a hand—or could you use one? Individuals, families and groups can sign up to volunteer, while residents age 60 or older can request yardwork assistance.

A remarkable milestone in service to Douglas County’s older adults!

This week, Commissioners honored Aging Resources of Douglas County volunteer Mike Grammes for nearly a decade of dedicated service. Mike has contributed more than 3,000 volunteer hours—providing companionship, helping with household tasks and errands, and ensuring older adults stay connected.

He also recently completed his 2,000th drive for the organization, helping clients get where they need to go while maintaining their independence.

Did you know older adults are one of Douglas County’s fastest-growing populations? That’s why Commissioners continue to invest in the resources and programs needed to help older adults remain independent, connected and secure later in life.

This week, Commissioners awarded $634,904 through the County’s Older Adult Initiative for projects that address priorities identified by our older adult community. That includes housing, transportation, in-home services, and access to information and resources.

Beginning this week, all services and employees previously located in Castle Rock—including SNAP, Child Care Assistance, welfare services and Adult Protective Services will be located on the first floor at:

11045 E. Lansing Circle
Englewood (Meridian), CO

The Human Services office at the Highlands Ranch Senior Center is not affected by this move.
