League of Women Voters of Jefferson County The League of Women Voters exists to Defend Democracy and Empower Voters! A nonpartisan, nonprofit organization since 1952 in Jefferson County.

The League of Women Voters does not support or oppose candidates for office at any level of government or political parties. At the same time, the League is wholeheartedly political and works to influence policy through advocacy. It is the original grassroots citizen network, directed by the consensus of its members nationwide. Membership is open to individuals who are 16 years or older. Welcome to the League of Women Voters of Jefferson County, CO, page! Please follow these guidelines when using our page. Diversity of opinions is encouraged; open discussion of the issues also. We will be posting news, stories from other Leagues and partner organizations, ways you can get involved, and other great information. Please keep comments and wall posts clean and relevant. The Colorado County Clerks Association has released a new online guide explaining how the state's election system works, as well as the safeguards in place to protect ballots, make sure they are counted correctly, and what voters need to know before casting them.

“We just want people to vote with confidence this year,” Colorado County Clerks Association Executive Director Matt Crane said. “We want voters to know that your ballot is going to get to you, it will be counted accurately and the process is secure.”
