Big congratulations to Broomfield K9 Officer Cornett and K9 Zohan for being awarded the National Police Canine Association’s ā€œDetection Case of the Quarterā€ for the Northwest Region – First Quarter 2026! šŸ‘

Earlier this year, the team helped seize a significant amount of illegal drugs and recover a stolen gun during a traffic stop, showcasing the incredible work and dedication of our K9 Unit.

K9 Zohan has since officially retired from service after an outstanding career with the department. Thank you, Zohan, for your years of hard work and loyal service to the Broomfield community.

Officer Cornett is now partnered with a new pup, K9 Louie, and we can’t wait to see what this new team accomplishes together!

May we never forget their courage, their sacrifice, and the legacy they entrusted to us.

Today we remember and honor the service men and women who, as Abraham Lincoln stated, gave their last full measure of devotion to our Nation. May we be worthy of their sacrifices and reaffirm our resolve to uphold the values and freedoms they so valiantly fought for.
