We work to make Colorado better for people who ride bikes.

Bicycle Colorado uses the tools of education and advocacy to make Colorado one of the most bicycle-friendly states. We encourage and promote bicycling, increase safety, improve conditions and provide a voice for people who ride bicycles in Colorado. With the support of our members and numerous public and private sector partnerships, we’ve made significant strides in improving bicycling since 1992.

Yesterday, Governor Polis signed SB26-132, Magnus' Law - Voluntary Alcohol Breath Test, into law. This law would not have happened without Magnus White's family and the community they have rallied through Thewhiteline.org. They have stood alongside so many Colorado families and advocates who have shared their stories to fight for safer roads. We are honored to stand with all of them.

Great people, great energy, and together we raised over $103,000 to advocate for all people who ride bikes in Colorado. 🙌 Every person who attended, spread the word, donated, or bid on a silent auction item helped make it happen. The work continues because of you.

We love that bike events come in all shapes and sizes, and taco shells?! 🌮

The Taco Bell Century in Denver had over 100 riders this year.

Not only did they tackle the gastrointestinal challenges of hitting 10 Taco Bells across 100 miles, but they also raised $3,500 for Bicycle Colorado.

Plus, two of the unicyclists finished at 4 am the following day! That's a 20-hour day.

Yesterday, Senate Bill 26-072, a bill that will help hold dangerous drivers accountable who hit and kill other people, passed the House and was sent to the Governor for his signature. Many people worked tirelessly over many years (dating back to 2019) to help make this happen. Over this time, far too many lives have been lost. To all the families who have lost loved ones to traffic violence and worked tirelessly to pass this law, thank you! We are honored to stand with you to advocate for safe streets.

We’re also grateful to AAA Colorado, Bike Jeffco, MADD Colorado, Thewhiteline.org, and the law enforcement community. Your thought partnership and advocacy helped make this happen. Lastly, thank you to Senators John Carson and Marc Snyder for your leadership, and Representatives Cecilia Espinoza and Bob Marshal for shepherding the bill through the House.
