Bicycle Colorado We work to make Colorado better for people who ride bikes.
(1)

Bicycle Colorado uses the tools of education and advocacy to make Colorado one of the most bicycle-friendly states. We encourage and promote bicycling, increase safety, improve conditions and provide a voice for people who ride bicycles in Colorado. With the support of our members and numerous public and private sector partnerships, we’ve made significant strides in improving bicycling since 1992. We represent the interests of nearly 10,000 members and 2.3 million people who ride a bicycle in Colorado.

This week, the Colorado Attorney General issued a public advisory explaining the difference between e-bikes and “e-motos.”

You helped make it happen! More than 50 organizations signed the letter, and 1,300 of you signed the petition. This is just part of our statewide e-bike safety strategy. Stay tuned for a deep dive on the plan.

Last month, we were honored to receive the Regional Air Quality Council’s Clean Air Community Champions award! The RAQC recognized fifteen Clean Air Champions at its fourth annual Clean Air Happy Hour, including former board members, community members, businesses, and local governments working to protect clean air for the Front Range and all Coloradans.

Every bike trip keeps our air cleaner! 🌎

Sometimes the best way to learn is to teach. Bicycle Colorado’s Education Manager spent a wonderful afternoon with bicycle educators in Pueblo, leading a train-the-trainer workshop.

We practiced:
🚲 Demonstrating helmet fitting
🚲 Teaching individuals the balance of riding
🚲 Conducting bicycle rodeos

Huge thanks to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Pueblo County, Pueblo Parks and Recreation, and El Centro del Quinto Sol for making the event happen. Also, a shoutout to Grassroots Gravel, Colorado State University Pueblo Outdoor Recreation, Southern Colorado Trail Builders, and Generation Wild Community of Pueblo for spreading the word and participating in the workshop.
