New free online trainings from the Colorado Attorney General’s Office are helping families, community members, and educators recognize warning signs of su***de and violence and take action before a crisis escalates.
The new resources include:
🔹 ERPO (Extreme Risk Protection Order) training for family and community members
🔹 Teen Dating Violence Prevention training for educators
These virtual trainings provide practical information on recognizing risk factors, understanding available intervention tools, and helping prevent tragedy before it occurs.

Attorney General Phil Weiser joined a bipartisan coalition of attorneys general opposing the federal KIDS Act, warning the bill would weaken states’ ability to protect children online while shielding Big Tech from accountability.
The coalition warned the bill could block protections addressing online harms to minors, including risks related to social media, obscenity, social gaming platforms, and AI chatbots.
“The efforts to preempt state oversight of Big Tech companies for their harms to our kids are wrong and must be stopped,” said AG Weiser.
The attorneys general are urging Congress to pass stronger protections that include a meaningful duty of care requirement for online platforms while preserving states’ authority to hold companies accountable.
