Maya McDowell loves all things food: Learning about it, growing it, cooking it, eating it. Her belief that food is a right, and is often one of our earliest introductions to culture, led her to an extensive career in food justice. Maya's background in youth development brought her to SustainEd Farms, where she is the Manager of Operations and Programs, supporting school garden programming for youth all across Denver. Within the SFPC, Maya served as co-chair of the Healthy Food Access and Affordability committee, and is now on the Public Land committee.
