Welcome/Bienvenidos! "It takes a Village to Fly!" As a turn around school, are goal is to close the learning gap one child at a time.

Oakland Elementary, founded in 1982, is a Denver Public School and we are in Network 4 of the DPS Far Northeast Region. Our DPS Core Values we emphasize are Students First and Fun. Another very important focus of ours is the "Whole Child." That has been established throughout Denver Public Schools. This is a part of the 2020 Education Plan to ensure "Every Child Succeeds." In DPS, we are committed to providing equitable and inclusive environments where we ensure students are Healthy, Supported, Engaged, Challenged, Safe, and Socially and Emotionally Intelligent.

Roadrunners teaching Eagles how to Hoop 🏀🦅

Sportswomen of Colorado brings female college student-athletes into Title I elementary schools, creating leadership opportunities for the athletes while introducing kids to new sports, seeing women in leadership roles, building confidence and having a whole lot of fun!

We are so grateful for MSU Denver’s Women’s Basketball team and Sportswomen of Colorado for visiting the village!

As we prepare for the celebration of Día de los Mu***os, all families are warmly invited to participate in this optional tradition. Send a photo of someone you’ve lost (with your student’s name and class on the back or in the email) to [email protected] or drop it off at school.

The display will be up from October 23 – November 6 with pictures being returned around Mid-November
