The six-day camp is held in the mountains outside of Estes Park, Colorado at Cal-Wood Education Center, where the teens get to leave behind their perceived limitations, labels, their overwhelming circumstances and get a chance to see their lives through new eyes. While there, our campers are physically and emotionally challenged through activities such as rock climbing, horseback riding, and whitewater rafting.

Throughout the week campers learn respect for themselves and others, and they build a supportive, open, and loving community amongst themselves. When they return home, they know that they have a support system available and ready to help guide them through the challenges of their daily lives.

Higher Ground Youth Challenge HGYC is a Colorado non-profit dedicated to working with at-risk youth, ages 13-16, and providing them a chance to do more than dream.

Dunk Tank Tickets are now available on the Higher Ground Youth Challenge website. We hope you can all join us in person to hit the bullseye and dunk Dan Gibbons, Dan Koski, or Deb-Foster-Morris; if you can not, you can still purchase tickets and a stand-in pitcher will throw your ball for you while you watch via FB live or video chat. Let's dunk the D's for the kids of Higher Ground Youth Challenge!
