This session, Colorado House Democrats fought against federal attacks and a billion-dollar budget crisis to pass bills that make Colorado more affordable 💵 and protect core services like K-12 education 🏫 and Medicaid coverage 🩺.

It’s the last day of the 2026 legislative session!!
Colorado House Democrats are closing out a successful legislative session. We passed legislation to save Coloradans money on housing 🏠, healthcare 🩺 and energy costs 🔋.
We also passed legislation to protect civil rights 🏳️🌈, K-12 education funding 🎓 and Colorado’s public lands ⛰️.

SB26-178 has moved forward! This bill would save Coloradans money and maintain health insurance coverage.

HB26-1326 has passed the House!
This bill extends PUC’s critical functions for another seven years while modernizing and boosting transparency within the agency. This will continue Colorado’s clean energy transition that will lower utility costs and foster new jobs.

SB26-189 has passed the House! This important bill would update the regulatory framework on ADMT when such technology is used to make consequential decisions.

SB26-135 would refer a statewide measure to the November 2026 ballot that would free up state funds to boost investment in K-12 schools.
What would the measure do? It would ask voters to allow the state to retain and spend revenue that it already collects in an amount equal to state K-12 funding, providing stable, predictable funding to keep pace with population growth and student needs.
