Through Optimist International we conduct several programs that support the youth in our community. We collaborate with several schools in Northeast Denver.
Programs that we Focus on Annually:
Respect for the Law: We honor 1 law enforcement officer, one fire fighter and one EMT technician. Scholarship contests: Essay and Oratorical. Each contest has a scholarship available. Youth Appreciation Dinner: We honor 3 students from the schools that we serve. Tri-Star Basketball Skills: Dribbling, passing and free throws, for both girls and boys beginni

Looking for a program for your child(ren) or other young people in your life? Optimist International is the way. We have two scholarship programs. The essay contest and the oratorical contest. Both of these activities require a greater deal of time. We have members who help our contestants prepare for the club, zone and district competitions.
Here's a list of some of the projects that we conduct throughout the year. School supply drive, Thanksgiving food baskets, Christmas Cheer, Tri-Star basketball, Youth Appreciation Dinner,
Respect the Law.
We have one fundraiser. Yes, just one! Gift wrapping at Barnes and Noble from November-Black Friday to Christmas Eve. We build relationships and provide a service to the customers of B&N.
