Three years in and we're just getting started. Serve Colorado has been part of the Youth Mental Health Corps from day one — and the impact is real. Young adults are building careers in behavioral health and changing what mental health support looks like for the 44,000+ community members they've served.
A huge thanks to all of our partners that have made this program possible every step of the way: Schultz Family Foundation, Colorado Community College System, Colorado Behavioral Health Administration, Gary Community Ventures, Alpine Achievers, City Year Denver, TeamUp, Trailhead Institute, and Colorado Youth for a Change!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month!
This May, Serve Colorado joins hundreds of other individuals and organizations across the globe in combating social stigmas and prioritizing the mental wellbeing of others. This fight is particularly meaningful as our Youth Mental Health Corps members serve tirelessly every day to support young people and create safe spaces for them to discuss their internal struggles.

In honor of National Apprenticeship Week, Serve Colorado would like to highlight the Trailhead Institute’s Colorado Public Health Works program!
In 2022, Trailhead Institute and Serve Colorado worked with the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment to establish the first of its kind Public Health AmeriCorps + Community Health Worker Registered Apprenticeship Program known as the Colorado Public Health Works (CPHW) program.
This combination allows participants to reap the benefits of both programs in a single year, as AmeriCorps members provide capacity building support and technical assistance to local public health agencies across Colorado in conjunction with earning their Registered Apprenticeship Program certification.
