Freedom to Marry Colorado

AMENDMENT J PASSED!!!! We have officially removed the ban on same-sex marriage from the Colorado Constitution!!!!

Thank you to everyone who knocked on doors, phone banked, texted, and talked to their friends and family to make this happen 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Thank you to .equality and for your work as part of the Freedom to Marry Colorado Executive Committee. Thank you to our over 250 organizations, businesses, faith leaders, and elected officials who endorsed us and made this possible. And finally, THANK YOU to YOU for voting YES on J and for making this dream a reality!!

There's more work to be done in Colorado, especially as we continue to protect trans folks in our state.

It's election day and we want to give an enormous shout out to for all of your support and for hosting us last week for our final in-person event!

Make sure you drop your ballot in a drop-box or be in line to vote in-person at a voter service location by 7pm TONIGHT! Vote YES on J and let's bring this home!!!

Thank you NBC News for covering the important work of states like Colorado putting an initiative in front of voters to remove the ban on same-sex marriage in our constitution. If Obergefell is overturned, just like Roe was, same-sex marriage would not be legal in Colorado. Vote by November 5th to ensure all Coloradans can continue to marry the person they love.

Worried by fall of Roe v. Wade, organizers get same-sex marriage on the ballot in three states Voters in California, Colorado and Hawaii will have a chance to remove unenforceable language from their state constitutions banning same-sex marriage.
