🎉 Exciting news, Colorado! It's and Governor Polis has officially declared October as Conflict Resolution Month! 🎉 At The Conflict Center, we believe that conflict is not something to avoid, but an opportunity for growth, understanding, and stronger relationships. Throughout this month—and all year long—we equip individuals and communities with the essential skills to navigate, embrace, and transform everyday conflicts into positive outcomes. Whether it’s in the workplace, at home, or within our communities, learning to resolve disputes effectively can lead to healthier, more vibrant relationships. Join us in celebrating Conflict Resolution Month by engaging in our workshops, resources, and community events designed to build your conflict resolution toolkit. Let’s create a culture where we see conflict as a chance for connection and learning, rather than a barrier. Together, we can foster resilience, understanding, and collaborative problem-solving. Remember, every conflict is a stepping stone to a more harmonious community. 💪✨ Stay tuned for special events this month and let’s embrace conflict as a pathway to positive change!

We had our first annual Peace in Action fundraising event last night at the Denver Botanic Gardens! It was a wonderful evening of connection, storytelling, and support. We will be posting much more about it in the coming days. In the meantime let us share the reflections of one of our attendees: Denver District Attorney John Walsh

Once in a while, you attend an event that gives you a renewed sense of hope. Tonight’s “Peace in Action” gala in support of The Conflict Center was one of those events, and its success reflects the energy and experience of the Center’s still new Executive Director, Andrew Syed. This is a won...

Wow what a fun, creative night we had Monday when an amazing group of volunteers from Junior League of Denver stopped by The Conflict Center! They were provided a variety of materials to create centerpieces for our Peace in Action Fall Event at Denver Botanic Gardens this Thursday, and it was super fun to watch the ideation and teamwork involved while coming up with two designs that we have at our event. Thank you so much for your creative energy!

Join The Conflict Center tonight at Tattered Cover Book Store on Colfax as we kick off with a Community Conversation event from 6pm-7pm! Two Conflict Center facilitators will present and discuss Conflict Navigation skills like Active Listening and Assumption Checking, as well as techniques you can use to be better prepared to use those skills. We will also promote Conflict Resolution Month in Colorado and its efforts in the promotion of constructive problem solving. As we progress toward the holiday season let's gather to discuss and practice the skills that can help us think of 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 for understanding and growth, rather than something to avoid or repress. This is a free community event, and we look forward to seeing you there!

For almost 40 years, The Conflict Center has helped people across our community build the skills to navigate conflict productively, strengthen relationships, promote Restorative Justice and restorative practices, and create healthier families, schools, and communities. On Thursday, October 8, we’re bringing that community together for 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐀𝐧 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 at the beautiful Denver Botanic Gardens.

📅 Thursday, October 8, 2026

Your ticket includes admission to the Gardens for the entire day, drinks, hearty appetizers and plenty of food throughout the evening, plus a wonderful evening with more than 150 people who care about building stronger, more connected communities.

The event is also an important fundraiser for The Conflict Center. We’re hoping to raise more than $75,000 to expand restorative justice programs, reach more young people with conflict-resolution and leadership skills, and support our new Conflict-Aware Schools Initiative.
