🗺️Denver is proud to officially welcome Dnipro, Ukraine as a Friendship City! Yesterday, Denver Mayor Mike Johnston and Mayor Borys Filatov signed a historic Friendship City Agreement, marking an important step toward strengthening international connections through cultural exchange, civic engagement, and community partnership.
This milestone reflects the incredible work and collaboration of Denver Sister Cities International, the Denver-Dnipro Friendship Committee, Ukrainians of Colorado, and community partners dedicated to building meaningful global relationships.
The agreement also lays the foundation for deeper future collaboration and the potential development of a formal Sister City relationship in the years ahead.
Together, Denver and Dnipro are building bridges rooted in resilience, friendship, and shared values. 🤝

Last night, a young person lost their life due to senseless gun violence. No statement can sum up the grief we feel today. Our hearts are broken, and we are left stunned by the fact that our beloved Montbello Rec Center has become the site of such a terrible tragedy. My deepest sympathies are with the family and the Montbello community.
