Registration opens tomorrow at noon for a special evening with Colson Whitehead, closing out Denver Public Library's 2026 One Book One Denver season.

Whitehead will discuss the novel's origins, the real history behind it, and themes of friendship, memory, justice, and survival. The event includes an audience Q&A and a book signing, with copies available for purchase from the Shop at MATTER.

📚 Happy Library Card Sign-Up Month! 📚

To celebrate, we're giving away a take-home mini-library kit for adults and teens ages 12+!

Stop by the GVR library, show us your library card, and you'll get everything you need to make your own tiny library. Don't have a library card with us yet? No problem! It only takes a few minutes to sign up!

Each mini-library kit includes mini books, trinkets, stickers, and a tiny replica Denver Public Library card. All you'll need at home is some glue (Elmer's works great!) and a good pair of scissors.

Kits are limited to one per person and are available through September while supplies last!
