Kicking off another project in the Santa Teresa region of Peru we were greeted by wonderful families in need of healthcare and even the skies above.

Global Health Medical Mission.

South Routt Medical Center employees, Jenny Schmitt and Tina Holliday, are joining Denver-based Mountain Medics International on a medical mission trip to the Cordillera Huayhuash region near Huaraz, Peru. They will trek to rural villages to offer medical, dental, and optometric care to remote Peruvians, some who have never seen a doctor. The trip will cover over 70 miles in 11 days, at over elevations higher than 16,000 feet to serve 500+ patients and discuss root causes and prevention.
