To wrap up the National Home Visiting Week we wanted to give a shoutout to two more home visitors that were nominated for the Home Visitor of the Year, Jenny and Michelle!
⭐ Jenny exemplifies the very best of Nurse-Family Partnership® with Adams County Health Department, through her unwavering commitment to families.
She excels at connecting families to critical community resources, including healthcare, mental health support, education, housing, financial assistance, and social services.
A mother that works with Jenny mentioned, "Frankly, I would be lost without the program, and I hope other mothers can benefit from Jenny too. Just knowing the resources and having someone like Jenny has your back is such a great help.
⭐ Michelle is an exceptional nurse with Montrose County’s Nurse-Family Partnership® team. In just a year and a half, Michelle has made an impact on her clients, her colleagues, and the communities she serves.
Michelle’s averaged 812 miles per month traveled across Western Colorado, often in challenging conditions that include snow, ice, and mountain passes during the winter months. Michelle’s willingness to navigate these conditions reflects a level of dedication to her clients and her team.
Families describe Michelle as a source of confidence and emotional safety. One mother wrote, “She has truly been such a kind soul and an absolute angel in mine and my baby’s life. She listens, reassures, and genuinely cares. Her visits have helped me grow into a more confident mom.”
Thank you Jenny and Michelle for empowering parents in Colorado as they navigate being first time parents!

This week we are honoring nominee's for April 20-24 to celebrate home visitors and the positive impact they have on families.
We want to give Mary Lambert a huge congratulations for being nominated as a National Home Visitor of the Year.
Bonnie Ortega, Child First ® Clinical Supervisor at Saint Luis Valley Behavioral Group said the following about nominating Mary:
"I nominated Mary because she has over 30 years of experience working in infant and early childhood systems. She is a very talented, driven, and compassionate therapist that continuously shows up for her clients and their families. She is passionate and goes above and beyond to help clients thrive and heal from the trauma they have experienced. I have personally seen the success she has had with some of the most difficult cases of abuse and neglect."
Thank you Mary for all the work that you do in partnership with families!

Bridget Holmgren earned her BA in English Literature from CU Boulder. She started her career with K-5 students, then taught high school English for ten years. Bridget loved seeing her students grow as capable, clever young people ready to make a lasting difference in the world.
As a teacher and team leader, Bridget partnered with her colleagues to modernize existing curriculum and to create brand-new courses. Her curriculum development focused on fostering opportunities for students to take ownership of their learning and to build confidence in their own expertise. She designed and implemented inclusive strategies that honored the strengths and needs of students from underserved and underrepresented backgrounds.
Bridget sees her role as Program Coordinator at Invest in Kids as a natural continuation of her work in education: empowering Colorado’s young people and families through holistic, strengths-based programs.
