DOTI is inviting residents to leave their mark on the city through a new Sidewalk Stamp Contest, an opportunity to design a stamp that will be embedded in sidewalks across Denver for years to come. The winning design will become a lasting feature of the city’s public spaces and receive a $1,000 prize. Election season is almost here! Primary ballots will be mailed starting June 8, and 24-hour ballot drop boxes will open the same day.

This week Denver City Council sent its budget priorities for 2027 to Mayor Mike Johnston that were identified during the Council's annual budget session held on May 14, 2026. Our goals focus on protecting essential services, investing in safer neighborhoods, supporting working families, and building a stronger, more resilient Denver.

Goals for the 2027 budget include:

• Increase community safety
• Empower communities
• Address Denver’s housing needs
• Support workers & businesses
• Prioritize climate response
• Improve Denver’s infrastructure
• Build healthy communities
• Restore basic city services

We’re thrilled renovations are finally underway at the Ben Bezoff Park basketball court! Approved by voters in 2017 as part of the Elevate Denver Bond, this project has been long-awaited by Park Forest residents and is expected to be completed by the end of this summer.
