It is with a heavy heart that the San Diego Metro NLPOA informs you of the passing of Lieutenant Brian Avera.

Brian was a pillar of our organization, serving with distinction as our President. A man of immense integrity and moral character, he dedicated his life to service, both within the NLPOA and as a Lieutenant with the San Diego Police Department.
We ask that you join us in prayer for his family, seeking peace and comfort for them during this incredibly difficult time.

To Brian: We love you. We are grateful for your leadership, your friendship, and your unwavering spirit. We find solace in knowing you have been welcomed into the Kingdom of God.

Congratulations to the Louisiana chapter for being awarded the 2027 national conference bid. We thank Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser and his office for their support of this bid. We are excited to bring members of our organization from across the country to our great state and the city of New Orleans. Thank you to our founder, Louisiana state president, and now national vice president of the southern region, Chief Jose' Campuzano, and his team for a fantastic presentation during the conference.

HAPPY HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH

National Hispanic Heritage Month has been celebrated annually from September 15 to October 15 since 1988. This 30-day observation is an opportunity to celebrate the histories, cultures and contributions of Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. We at your Denver Police Department are very proud of the contributions Hispanic and Latino officers have made to our agency over the years.

It’s with profound sadness that we say good by to our NLPOA Northern VP Beverly Rodriguez. Bev passed away unexpectedly yesterday after a boating accident. We send our prayers to her family, friends and the Minnesota NLPOA chapter.
