OEDIT’s Colorado Outdoor Recreation Industry Office (OREC) is thrilled to champion the heart of our state’s thriving outdoor sector by offering dedicated support to local communities and industry professionals. OREC launched the Colorado State Outdoor Recreation Grant (COSORG) in 2022 to fund regional initiatives that bolster infrastructure, advance workforce development, and expand outdoor access.

A defining milestone for COSORG included connecting young people across Colorado with nature. This initiative successfully engaged 11,446 young participants through a diverse array of 96 outdoor experiences and camps. A wonderful way to honor our 150th birthday, as we continue to advance economic prosperity, conservation and stewardship, education and workforce training, and public health and wellness.
