DSST: Montview Middle School The official page for DSST: Montview Middle School, serving sixth through eighth graders.

We are part of DSST Public Schools, widely considered to be one of the leading open enrollment STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) schools in the United States, and has become a destination for educators nationwide. DSST schools are home to the highest performing and highest growth secondary schools in Denver Public Schools, and to date, 100% of our graduates have earned acceptance into 4-year colleges and universities. DSST Public Schools is a values-driven organization and a deliberately integrated community, serving students from all walks of life. Our six Core Values are central to our program and to our results. These values are truly embedded in everything we do. Respect: Appreciating the value of a person or an object through your words, actions and attitude - treating people appropriately with common courtesy. This week, Eliana was recognized at DSST: Montview Middle School as a Traits of a Knight winner for embodying Justice — and the moment got even sweeter when her family walked through those doors to watch her receive her certificate in front of the entire school. 🎉

NERDS Club at DSST: Montview meets every Wednesday and Friday before school — and if you’ve ever wanted a crew that gets you, this is it. Chess, Rubik’s cubes, games, and zero pressure. Just show up, play, and find your people.

This is what a 6th–8th grade community looks like when it’s working. Students aren’t just sharing a campus — they’re building friendships that start before first period even begins. 💙

Zai’Zjhan Haqq is bringing EXCELLENCE to DSST: Montview — and we had to shout him out. 👏🏾

At DSST: Montview, science isn’t something you just read about — it’s something you do. These Knights are in the middle of a contact forces and collisions lab, testing exactly how much force it takes to break materials of different kinds. Real hypotheses. Real data. Real curiosity in action.

This is what a 6th–12th grade STEM journey looks like from day one. Students don’t wait until high school to think like scientists — they start here, together, building the skills and the confidence to solve problems that actually matter.

Popcorn in hand, passport in the other, and a climbing wall to conquer. 🍿🧗
That was the vibe at DSST: Montview’s Back to School Night — A Knight of Connections. Families packed the building, explored local food trucks, tackled the climbing wall, and stamped their way through the passport challenge. For one night, our school felt less like a school and more like a fair — the best kind of first impression for a new year.
This is what a 6th–12th grade community looks like when it comes together. From the newest sixth graders finding their people to families reconnecting with teachers who genuinely know their students — this is the DSST Montview family, and we’re just getting started. 💙
