Congratulations to Fremont County Commissioner Dwayne McFall who was sworn in as President of the Western Interstate Region which is part of the National Association of Counties. CCI is grateful for the leadership of Commissioner McFall and his dedication to public lands.

Today, members have gathered at CCI HQ to hold the final steering committee of the legislative session to discuss proposed legislation that could affect counties.

Yesterday, Commissioners and staff went to Capitol Hill to visit with the Colorado delegation. They discussed the importance of surface road transportation funding for counties as well as funding for the TANF and CCAP programs. We thank the Senators and Representatives for their time.

Yesterday, more than 40 Colorado County commissioners and staff attended the National Association of Counties (NACo) legislative conference in Washington DC. They attended various policy committee meetings, heard federal agency updates and discussed proposed policy resolutions.

Today, Commissioners and members of CHSDA hosted a legislative breakfast at the Capitol. Commissioners and human service directors had an opportunity to speak with legislators about our legislative priorities and on what legislation is important to counties.

Commissioners have gathered at CCI HQ to discuss legislation that has been introduced this year that may affect counties. CCI is excited to see our members, show off the new office and have a productive legislative session.

Today, CCI members have gathered for the annual Legislative & Membership meeting to discuss potential legislation for the 2026 legislative session.
